Unrecognisable mirrors

Titzina’s plays have a personal stamp that makes them stand out. The company’s own style – a complicated blend of drama, humour, poetry and simplicity – runs through their work. In Exitus, the four central characters, accompanied by some more minor characters, talk about death, although this is not a sad or a melodramatic play. Nor does it try to deny the drama that can stem from death, as much for those left behind as those who leave them. Emotions are evoked, but without manipulating the audience. It is all achieved with a style of theatre that seems almost timid, as if it did not want to annoy anyone, but with an internal melody that runs like clockwork.
