Titzina’s plays have a personal stamp that makes them stand out. The company’s own style – a complicated blend of drama, humour, poetry and simplicity – runs through their work.... In Exitus, the four central characters, accompanied by some more minor characters, talk about death, although this is not a sad or a melodramatic play. Nor does it try to deny the drama that can stem from death, as much for those left behind as those who leave them. Emotions are evoked, but without manipulating the audience. It is all achieved with a style of theatre that seems almost timid, as if it did not want to annoy anyone, but with an internal melody that runs like clockwork.

EExitus, a laboriously constructed impressionist satire combining a light touch with a cutting edge. It taps into an ancestral way of looking at death as being perfectly symmetrical with life,... on first-name terms with the dead. Behind it, we can glimpse painstaking fieldwork and detailed advice, perhaps with some practice in the way undertakers work: it’s quite something to make up an imaginary dead body with the precision that they achieve. Their smooth performance, with contained gestures making no concessions to parody and avoiding the slightest hint of farce, satirises life as it is through a selection of significant fragments displayed with intelligent precision
